The inaugural DRAGON BALL FighterZ World Tour is now in the books with Kazunoko crowned as the first ever World Champion at Red Bull Final Summoning!
“Winning this tournament, I was really able to repay all my friends who trained with me. And, practicing really takes time away that I could be spending with my wife. She really supported me throughout this process.” – Kazunoko, World Champion
“Winning this tournament, I was really able to repay all my friends who trained with me. And, practicing really takes time away that I could be spending with my wife. She really supported me throughout this process.”
– Kazunoko, World Champion
Day two at the Majestic Theatre in Los Angeles saw the top DRAGON BALL FighterZ players from around the world battling it out to determine the champion of the DRAGON BALL FighterZ World Tour Finals. Past tournament winners SonicFox, Kazunoko, Go1, and HookGangGod were joined by the four Last Chance Qualifiers Dogura, Kindevu, BNBBN, and Fenritti to compete for the World Tour title. In the end, Kazunoko emerged victorious and was crowned the champion by outlasting the other seven competitors in the top 8 bracket.
In a tense, back and forth Grand Final, Kazunoko was able to beat back an assault from Fenritti using a powerful team comprised of Gotenks, Adult Gohan, and Yamcha. He fought off the pressure, even after being brought to the brink of elimination by his formidable opponent after an intense bracket reset. The champion said in a heartfelt interview, “Winning this tournament, I was really able to repay all my friends who trained with me. And, practicing really takes time away that I could be spending with my wife. She really supported me throughout this process.”
