Your robot companion Ako-Light intercepts a radio transmission claiming that help will be arriving in 30 days. As Jacob Solomon, you have to lead over a team of 4 other survivors – all holed-up in an abandoned church – and try to survive until the rescue timer reaches zero. All of your abilities come from your team and your robot. You’ll use Ako-Light to drill for supplies, explore new areas, light darkened interiors and empty nights, carry your supplies, and track your position. You need your robot companion. But does Ako-Light need you?

“When we started working on Impact Winter, little did we realise how big the journey would become. Now, with a week until launch, we’re very nearly here. Impact Winter is often categorised as a ‘survival’ game, but our intention from the start was to try to and build on the genre through our love of Adventure and RPG games: a new take on the ‘survive-as-long-as-possible’ formula that plays with familiar rules. Prior to launch, we’d like to say a final thank you to all our supporters and collaborators. Impact Winter has been developed by a core team of 5 people – a huge undertaking for a game of this scale – and the support we’ve received along the way has been invaluable. Hopefully our passion for creating the world of Impact Winter is there for all to see.” said Stuart Ryall, Co-founder and game designer at Mojo Bones Ltd.

An asteroid has collided with Earth, and the world we once knew is now nothing more than a snow-covered wasteland. Almost everyone and everything perished in the harsh, sub-zero temperatures. But you didn’t. And you received a radio transmission that has filled you with hope and the will to survive the next 30 days. Take on The Void as Jacob Solomon, a lone survivor wandering around the frozen wilderness when he stumbles upon a snow-buried church sheltering four other survivors and their robot, AKO-LIGHT. Each with their own unique field of expertise, they’ll form a makeshift team, hunting and scavenging to stay alive despite the weather conditions and slumping morale, while furiously focusing on lowering the Rescue Timer…

Developed by Mojo Bones, the game will allow players to help Jacob Solomon and his team of 4 survivors to survive the next 30 days in a harsh and winter environment.

In IMPACT WINTER, the push for survival makes each playthrough unique. Helped by Ako-Light, a robotic companion, players will be able to explore the hostile world and find solutions while struggling to stay alive in the freezing atmosphere.

“When Mojo Bones introduced IMPACT WINTER to us, we understood early on that this alternative survival experience, with its distinctive artistic direction will be a unique adventure for players. We’re really pleased to closely work with Mojo Bones on this project as we continue to expand our range of games” said Hervé Hoerdt, VP Mktg & Digital at BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe.

“The team here at Mojo Bones are both extremely proud and excited to partner with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment for the release of IMPACT WINTER” said Stuart Ryall Co-Founder and Designer at Mojo Bones Ltd. “As gamers, we formed Mojo Bones in 2011 with the intention of using our newfound creative freedom to explore and design unique ideas and concepts. IMPACT WINTER represents the most ambitious step along our journey so far; taking inspiration from our favourite games, movies, music and literature in an attempt to build on those influences and create a one-of-a-kind survival adventure.”
