Newly Drawn Illustrations Commemorating the Steam® Release!
A new illustration drawn by the Baten Kaitos series’ character designer, Nakaba Higurashi, has also been unveiled today, to commemorate the Steam®️ release.
Baten Kaitos Ⅰ＆Ⅱ HD Remaster is a remaster of Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos Origins, both of which were released on the Nintendo GameCube about 20 years ago.
Developed with the goal of delivering the story of Baten Kaitos in a way that is more accessible for the current generation of customers, while staying true to the GameCube version. The game features upgraded graphics, improved usability, and quality of life improvements that will enhance the experience of the original work.
The visual quality of the game has been improved, including the UI and graphics for the main characters and objects in the field.
In addition to stabilising the frame rate, Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster introduces new features such as encounters-off, auto-battle, skip cutscenes, and auto-save to make it even more accessible to new players.
Convenient New Features Added to Make Gameplay Smoother
With an array of new features, the game is easier to play than ever before, including Autosave and Help Features as well as six different adjustable parameters.
Six Different Adjustable Parameters
Adjust parameters including game speed and random enemy encounters and save them as your favourite way to play the game. This is adjustable at any time and are as follows:
No encounters -Turn off random enemy encounters
Instant KO - Enable enemies to be defeated with a single strike
Game speed - Choose from three options (100％, 200％ and 300％)
Battle speed - Choose from three options (100％, 200％ and 300％)
Simple battle results display - Switch to a simpler display of mid-battle results after each turn
Auto-battle - Enable battles to be played automatically
There are also two 'New Game’ modes available:
“NEW GAME +” Mode
This mode allows you to restart the game after clearing it once – carrying across level, rank, and Magnus from the initial run.
“NEW GAME -” Mode
This mode applies restrictions on what is available for a much more difficult challenge.
