Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia today announced the launch of DEATH NOTE Killer Within, the first-ever game based on the globally popular anime series. The title captures the series’ mystical premise, where a notebook has the power to bring death to anyone whose name is written in it, as a thrilling 10-player social deduction game.

DEATH NOTE Killer Within is available now, exclusively for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4 (purchasable independently or as part of the PS+ subscription), and for PC via Steam® in Standard or Special Edition. A new trailer featuring the gameplay and character customisation has also been released.

DEATH NOTE Killer Within is an online social deduction game where players must answer the ultimate question: who do you trust? In the game, players are split into two teams, joining the killer Kira or the investigator L’s team. They must then uncover each other's identities to eliminate L or seize the Death Note from Kira. Kira and L are equally matched, each hiding their true identity while battling for control over the game. Engage in a game of wits as both sides vie for the hidden Death Note, leading to a thrilling showdown of truth and deception until one team prevails.

In DEATH NOTE Killer Within, players can assume one of four roles - Kira, Kira Follower, L, or Investigator - each offering unique gameplay characteristics. With each assigned role, players can develop a wide range of strategies, as randomized scenarios evolve into high-stakes gameplay. The game features cross-play for up to 10 players across platforms and offers robust customisation options. As players progress, they unlock custom nameplates, in-game avatars with various accessories, and different special effects displayed during key gameplay moments.
