Bandai Namco Entertainment Asia is pleased to announce the release of special in-game items for Tales of ARISE from the alchemy RPG Atelier Sophie 2 and the brain punk action RPG, SCARLET NEXUS.

Starting from today, collaboration items from Atelier Sophie 2 are available for download as a free update, as part of the “Atelier Sophie 2 Collaboration Pack”. The pack contains the attachment “Sophie’s Flower Hair Clip”, as well as weapons available for use by Shionne and Dohalim. Collaboration items from SCARLET NEXUS have also been released today as a free update! In this collaboration, Yuito’s weapon, “Myoho Muramasa Replica”, is available for use by Alphen, as well as the attachments “Handmade Hair Clip Replica” and “Baki”. In addition, “Incompatible Thoughts” from the SCARLET NEXUS soundtrack will become available to select as BGM from the menu screen.

As the latest iteration in the “Tales” series, and marking its 25th anniversary, Tales of ARISE continues the legacy of its predecessors, while also evolving in new and exciting ways. The title is available on PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Steam, as well as PlayStation®5 and Xbox Series X|S.

While making full use of the features of the latest console platforms to depict fantasy characters and settings in the series’ beloved anime-style, the title also implements its own independently developed “Atmos Shader”. This brings a unique feel to the artwork, creating a highly immersive art style that harmonizes light and atmospheric effects with detailed, realistic character depictions.

Elsewhere, a powered-up battle system has been implemented, which has refined the visual style and smooth action controls of earlier titles in the series with the aim of providing a satisfying cooperative battle experience, while the game’s sweeping drama is reinforced by advanced facial graphics providing more detail than ever before to accentuate the human plight of the characters. Set on two planets riven with conflict and ruled by fear, the story follows the protagonists’ struggle for liberty and personal growth. In this age in which a diverse range of voices are finally starting to be heard, the title considers what it truly means to be free.
